"I am a self-taught artist seeking to communicate the beauty I see in everyday life.   Originally working with wood, I have now chosen watercolor as the medium for my expression.  I find working in watercolor forces and allows me to be spontaneous and open.   I paint in a contemporary style and use mostly earth tones  as I try to communicate the essence rather than the realism of my subjects.  My current work focuses on the Gulf Coast region, capturing its unique inhabitants in their natural environment."
